Choices Plot Resolution/October Plotting

As of today, the plot is done. No matter where everyone was, the people of the Sphere (the PCs anyway) simply just appear back in their domes. Their injuries for the most part are healed, the deep ones anyway. Scratches and the likes of superficial things are still present if you’d like them to be, but anything major (including broken bones etc) will have been healed by the time the characters have woken up. The Power is on. The lights are on. All of the food and water and the community domes are back. Obviously everything worked, right? Sure seems like it.

Even if the dome that the Sphere is housed in is still cut off from all of the other domes.

Except that the 237 unnamed NPCs who went missing are still missing. All of their domes stand empty, and anything that belonged to them is gone. It’s almost as if they’d just gone home. Any characters who were dropped during the period of the plot, their things are gone too now, and they’ve been sent home rather than being in any way permanently dead. (Wen Ning from The Untamed, Noctis from FFXV and Eleven from Stranger Things.)

But those 237 aren’t the only ones who are missing. While all of their things are still in their personal domes, their offices and the black market, Max, Laurie, Annie and John are all nowhere to be found. They haven’t gone home it seems like, because when asked the message of their location is “unknown” rather than “gone” as it otherwise would be. Sorry Rhy, guess you’re in charge for the moment.

There will be no official plot/log for the rest of the month. This is to give characters some time to deal with the fallout from the plot and play with it.

Q and A

• What happened with the plot?You said that the outcome was player determined.
  It was player determined. This is the medium outcome. More info will come in November. No, I’m not going to say what the other two endings would have been.
• When do we find out what the Sphere was?
  November first. And you will be able to communicate with it then. It’s also when the named NPCs including Annie will return.
• What about threads in process with the Sphere?
  I will continue to tag them until the Sphere talks in November. This is the reason that the Sphere isn’t talking until then: to give folks time to finish those threads.
• My character was doing something at that moment!
  They were! And then they just woke up in their pods in their domes.
• Is someone going to announce the things characters learned?
  That’s entirely up to you guys. There will not be an official mod post.
• What about giving us some ooc knowledge?
  Through the use of magic in an investigative thread, Harry Dresden discovered that the people who went missing aren’t real. Max didn’t that and refused to believe. In other investigative threads, anything that those people had touched also doesn’t exist. Conversations with the Sphere for the most part involved the Sphere offering people the chance to go home in exchange for letting their fellow residents die. No one took the deal.
