Feb/March Assumed CR meme.
So with the plot coming up, and my generalized fail as a mod this month. (Apologies, a surgery that was supposed to be easy to recover from has been decidedly not so I've been doing things one handed on my phone!) I thought we could do a late/early assumed CR meme before we get into the meat of the March plot. This one will be slightly different, in that there will be some important details and stuff that may or may not come in handy later on.)

Alright so here is a CR meme, and assumed CR meme. There will be posts for all four NPCs here so that you have important info later on. Also if you want to have assumed some stuff with them, that would be great. This is a chance to have everyone having an easier basis of getting CR after the nightmare of last month.

● Housing situation: Has a fancy ass private dome.
● Info: Max is that asshole NPC that has been snarky to your characters. He runs the black market and it's openly known he was the one who drove the urge to switch to capitalism. (well done, Max.) During the <https://thesphererp.dreamwidth.org/2187.html">first memory share event it was discovered that Max had a young daughter, Emmy who was with him in the Sphere and disappeared. When the memory From the Sphere happened, he reacted badly, but also was investigating it. He tends to be the voice of angry reason and warns people on the network when things are going down.

Max is a smoker, who always seems to smell of rich tobacco. In that good expensive tobacco way. It's cigars mostly, and he often leaves the snubs on the ground. Max is quick to offer a drink to people, and actually does have some folks he cares for closely. He gives a big deal about kids. He is ten thousand percent done with the Sphere's bullshit.

Laurie Tearling
● Character name: Laurie Tearling
● Character age: Early 40s.
● Canon: Game NPC
● Occupation: Head of the hospital dome/lead doctor. Council member.
● Housing situation: Has an apartment in the hospital dome.
● Info:Laurie is a nonsense sort of woman who comes from a time that's beyond when most people in the Sphere are from. She hates the idea of people doing magic instead of science. When the memory From the Sphere happened, her first response was to investigate it. She's the one who gave Alex Reagan the information of when the Sphere's memory was: the same day that Emmy Tinder went missing. Laurie is the NPC who tends to be closest to the player characters!

Laurie always smells of sanitizer and jasmine hand lotion. She drinks a bunch of earl gray tea. In the past when talking to people about how their world ended, it's become clear that something bad happened to Laurie's world and she's determined not to allow it to happen again.

● Tell us about you: I am in the EST timezone. I work from 7-4 Monday thru Friday and I am a nerdy Mechanical Engineer. I actually do more tags at work than I do at home. I don't know why it's easier to think there. I love fantasy horror and Victorian mysteries... as well ass 100 other things I love. Plus I love making OCs.

● Info: There is a lot of information on her journal but her game information is here. She is a little oblivious at times but sweet and a pacifist. here is her application. She also does magic-y things. She has a twin who can sometimes manipulate her emotions and is super evil.
● What kind of things are you looking to do with this character? I would like her to learn about the world, help people and maybe learn new things about herself. I like being mean and making my characters feel vulnerable. Maybe open up when it comes to her sister and bits and pieces of her past more. Argue with all the depressing people in game about how life can be great!
● Do you have any specific character plans that you want people to know? I don't really have anything specific but I am open to ideas! I like to start things and then see how they go.
● Are you looking for shipping/relationship stuff and if so what? I would love for her to find a ship, maybe someone to treat her well? She is definitely a slow burn and will have to have some basic parts about relationships explained to her. She understands some things but not everything. There was a whole kidnapping thing and this fairy guy wanted to marry her and make her give him a child. It was a mess. That's all she knows about relationships but she does believe in love. She just wants to feel it.
● What kind of CR would your character want to have? She wants friends and to sort things out with her sister which she can't do here.
● What kind of CR do YOU want your character to have? All of it? Is that an okay answer. I am here for positive and negative CR. I'd love for someone to try and hurt her because hahahaha you will probably fail and she won't even hold it against you. I'd love a ship but again, it'd be super slow.
● What kind of assumed CR are you looking for? General day to day things where it's obvious how it would play out. Hand waves in the hallways. Her knowing what someone looks like since she kinda sucks at the whole communicator thing.

Angel doesn't really keep secrets about herself so whatever she tells someone can be spread. It's probably worth noting that people call her different names, so that might be fun to play with. But yeah, anything she's said in game is fair game.

● Tell us about you: I work with dogs and I talk about dogs a lot! I also really love horror creatures and will nerd about them a lot. I usually tag in the late-ish afternoon (EST) while procrastinating.

RyanWynand● Character age: UHHHHH.... Honestly I could explain his age for like 2 hours but it would be a lot of end game spoilers. He's physically 24 and chronologically 4.
● Canon: BioShock
● Occupation: Local stray sad boi.
● Housing situation: He has a double dome to himself at 306.
● Info: Jack comes from a DIFFERENT giant glass city under the sea, which went completely to hell and was taken over by superpowered drug addicts. This means that he is extremely paranoid and jumpy, and does not trust anyone native to the domes. Once he calms down, he'll be a pretty childish and open dude who just wants to tell you about the cool flower he saw yesterday, or about how much he misses sunlight. (For those who are canon-familiar, he is a Good Ending boy and still has his voice commands intact. You are 100% allowed to use them and not ask first.)
● What kind of things are you looking to do with this character? ALL THE THINGS. Jack needs friends and parental figures to keep him out of trouble. I also would really love for him to acquire some enemies but, fair warning, he is built for killing things several times his size. And he can shoot bees.
● Do you have any specific character plans that you want people to know? I don't have any specific plans at the moment! The likelihood of him trusting new people is going to steadily increase while he gets used to the city, and he might get a job at some point but I haven't decided what.
● Are you looking for shipping/relationship stuff and if so what? I'm a sucker for romance, so hell yes! Jack is demisexual; more specifically, his attraction is based on voices instead of appearance or gender. I should also note that I am super open to playing out unhealthy relationships, so if you're interested in making Jack suffer, I am totally game.
● What kind of CR would your character want to have? Jack would like a mother figure to latch on to, a few friends who are understanding about his weird behavior, and preferably for nothing bad to happen to him ever again.
● What kind of CR do YOU want your character to have? I really genuinely want someone to realize he has voice commands and use them for their own benefit. But I do also really want him to make friends and get adopted by concerned adults.
● What kind of assumed CR are you looking for? Any! Jack doesn't really approach people on his own, so any hand-waved CR is most likely to have found him scavenging in the trash or stealing things that he didn't realize belong to them. Assuming they've seen him around just might make it a little smoother to get conversations with him going.
● If a character has interacted with another character and it's assumed, what would you want the other character to know about them? What would they have noticed?
- Jack is a big, buff man with the stance and facial expressions of a child lost in a grocery store. He also has a deep, authoritative voice and speaks in choppy and awkward sentences like he's just not used to speaking at all.
- My icons are very inconsistent about this because canon is inconsistent, but I play Jack as brown-haired and heterochromatic. One blue eye, one brown eye.
- He is not used to taking showers, and tends to smell like fish and rusting metal.
- He usually wears a chunky, bloodstained cableknit sweater, and keeps pulling random things out of it. Usually his wrench, a chocolate bar, an old tape recorder... maybe a gun if someone threatens him enough.
- If they made physical contact, they will notice that despite his muscles he has extremely soft skin.
- He gets VERY NERVOUS when approaching anyone who is small, young or otherwise looks fragile. He just doesn't want to hurt anybody.

I'd love to play out a ship because I am weak and ships are great but I honestly have no idea how that would go because Angel is 100% the kind of person who'd sleep with someone if they told her that it'd make them feel better. She doesn't understand intimacies at all.

● Info: A random adventurer catte chosen by a goddess to be her Warrior of Light and fight against old dangerous gods and the constant extinction-level disasters that tend to happen in the world. Super-strong, super-rude, super-high but also super-soft on the inside. Is an accomplished mage with a few masteries already, and prefers healing, though is quickly losing faith in it.
● What kind of things are you looking to do with this character? A lot, tbh. There's more I want to do in this setting and I'm just waiting to see what happens. But I already have a vague plan for what I want for the next memory share month.
● Do you have any specific character plans that you want people to know? Uhhh, not really. But he did just spill the beans on him and Dorian banging.
● Are you looking for shipping/relationship stuff and if so what? He's currently just banging Dorian, but isn't interested in (re: scared of) relationships-- sex preferred. He prefers men, and will only be interested in women once significant CR has been achieved... Or unless that woman is very obviously xeno.
● What kind of CR would your character want to have? He really... doesn't care. In canon he has so many different kinds of CR that he's not out for anything specific.

He's a catman, is rather short (5'5"), and prefers not letting people see his right eye. His accent is vaguely from the British Isles but impossible to narrow down to a specific one. Also v buff despite being tiny, and if anyone cares about smell, he smells like freshly-cut plants because of his smoking habit.

● Info: Alec came from end-series, so he's been through some shit. Nevertheless, he's pretty friendly and has a good sense of humor. Couple that with an unassuming nature, and he's pretty easy to get along with. He picks up quickly on things, and generally likes to figure stuff out on his own. However, he's not at all used to any of the technology in this place, so while he's a smart cookie, it's taking him a lot longer to process things than it would your typical non-high-fantasy character. Please be patient with his questions; he asks a lot of them.
● What kind of things are you looking to do with this character? I would like for him to help out with thinky stuff! He's not great with technology, as stated, but he is an experienced detective and a great sneak-thief besides. He'd be an asset for investigations and recon.
● Do you have any specific character plans that you want people to know? He found a broken guitar in one of the abandoned domes. He's a decent musician, so he'd like to repair it and then learn how to play it.

Alec is not quick to trust, but he will still act like he trusts people. It's more like a silent agnosticism; he files information away and waits to see if it's actually useful/trustworthy, and if it is, he's more likely to trust his source in the future. He's also almost scary co-dependent with Seregil; it's rare to see one without the other.

Seregil

● Character age: 58
● Canon: The Nightrunners series

● Housing situation: 303 with Alec
● Info: Seregil is a super secretive person who is pretty friendly and tends to lead people into bad life choices (becoming thieves or helping him cheat and such) without their realizing it. At heart, he's really sweet and not that emotionally strong (though he puts up a good front). He's from the beginning of the series, so his co-dependency on Alec isn't as bad as Alec's on him. He's also super self-deprecating when things go wrong, though he tries to hide it.
In the game, he's currently closest to Angel and Alec. He's slowly getting to know other people though and likes Aaron because the man knows how to be sassy.
● What kind of things are you looking to do with this character? Seregil has seriously been all over the place. Man's a butterfly. So I'm going to bullet point the list:
* Trying to make bakshi a thing (bakshi is a gambling game from his world that uses stones. They never actually say how it's played)
* Raiding the empty pods, a lot
* Trying and failing to bypass the biometric locks
* Reading up on the tech he knows nothing about
* Helping Angel collect names by giving her one and deciding she is the bee's knees and he has to adopt her.
* Coming to terms with the fact that his apprentice is now from five years in the future and is aware that he's secretly in love with him (totally not a secret anymore)
*Looking into that Sphere memory (been chatting with Jag about that one)
*Trying to get the locals to like them
* Mocking Alec's toaster
● Do you have any specific character plans that you want people to know?BAKSHI FOR THE GAMBLING DENS! I am not joking. Seregil's long term goal at the moment is to get this as a regular game. He also wants to introduce other gambling games from home.
He wants to find a hearth and like, a billion pillows. The pod needs pillows! There was also mention of planning a slumber party with Angel.
He also wants to get to know more people and learn how their world and this one works. He wants to get to the bottom of this whole sphere thing and, if possible, figure out how to make this place work for him. He also wants some good booze!
● Are you looking for shipping/relationship stuff and if so what? Nope, he's got enough romance troubles as is.
● What kind of CR would your character want to have? I'm good with any. Seregil is a friendly person so he'll chat with anyone about most things and he's an amicable drinker and gambler.
● What kind of CR do YOU want your character to have? I'm the same. Aside from what was mentioned before I have no plans otherwise.
● What kind of assumed CR are you looking for? I don't know.

It's safe to assume he hasn't told you his name unless you directly ask for it. He's also generally friendly, so that's good. If you want, he may have also introduced people to bakshi. It's also pretty safe to assume he hasn't talked much about himself personally, but he'll tell people about his world as if he's just an observer of it.
